"Snickers" was a handsome, young blue Pitbull Terrier that was turned in stray to the animal shelter on October 5, 2021. No owner came to claim him and he was adopted into a new home on October 14, 2021.

"Mason" was a handsome brindle Boxer Bulldog mix that was turned in to the animal shelter as a stray on October 6, 2021. Nobody came to claim him and he was finally rescued by Bossy Paws Rescue on October 13, 2021.

​What a doll! We quickly fell in love with "Lola" in the shelter. She was a very sweet, tender and gentle special-needs blind dog. Her owner was going through a tough period in life so she was to the animal shelter on October 8, 2021.

Even though blind, Lola settled in very quickly in the shelter. She spent most of the day sleeping on her dog bed in the kennel, but would always perk up when she heard the door open.  Outside on a leash, she followed the sound of your voice and your footsteps and trusted you to lead her safely.

She was rescued by Road Trip Home Rescue on October 11, 2021 and immediately had surgery to have her eyes removed. The advanced glaucoma was causing a lot of pressure in the eyes.  Her rescue and surgery was sponsored with generous pledges to the rescue group from Anne, Sonia, Dana, Becky, Lorraine, Heather, Polly, Jason and Fred.  

Sage was a pretty Pitbull picked up stray by an animal control officer on September 20, 2021. No owner came to look for her and she was rescued by Barkville Dog Rescue on September 29, 2021.

Sage, Scarlet and Solomon were three adorable kittens that came into the animal shelter on September 24, 2021. They were rescued by Pound Puppies N Kittens Rescue on September 28, 2021.

"Sepi" was a pretty, light blue brindle Pitbull Terrier girl that was turned in to the animal shelter as a stray on September 16, 2021. No owner came forward to claim her and she was rescued by Furever Match Rescue on September 25, 2021.

"Tommy" was a handsome Boxer Bulldog mix that was picked up stray by an animal control officer on September 19, 2021. He was adopted into a new home on September 24, 2021!

"Madison" was a happy German Shepherd mix breed dog picked up stray by an animal control officer on September 13, 2021. No owner came to look for her and she was rescued by Pound Puppies N Kittens Rescue on September 23, 2021.

"Fancy" was a pretty red Chow mix that was picked up stray by an animal control officer on September 20, 2021. No owner came looking for her and she was rescued by Pound Puppies N Kittens Rescue on September 23, 2021.

"Mabel" was a sweet spayed girl that was picked up stray by an animal control officer on September 10, 2021. No owner came to claim her and she was rescued by Athens Canine Rescue on September 18, 2021.

"Scout" was a unique boy that was surrendered by his owner to the animal shelter on September 15, 2021. He had the color of a Chocolate Lab, the body shape of a German Shepherd, and the bright blue eyes of a Siberian Husky.  He was rescued by Big Dog Rescue Ranch on September 18, 2021

"Ella" was surrendered to the animal shelter by her owner on September 8, 2021. She was adopted into a new home on September 13, 2021.

"Marshall" was a blue and white Pitbull Terrier dog that was picked up by an animal control officer on September 4, 2021. No owner came to claim him and he was rescued by All About Animals Rescue on September 11, 2021.

"Jax" was a neutered male Pitbull and Labrador mix breed dog that was picked up stray by an animal control officer on September 3, 2021.  No owner came to claim him and he was rescued by Paw Angels on September 11, 2021.

"Baby" was a Australian Kelpie Cattledog mix brought to the animal shelter on September 7, 2021. She was reunited with her owner on September 9, 2021. 

"Flora" was a Boxer and Vizsla mix dog turned in stray to the animal shelter on July 15, 2021. No owner came to claim her and she was rescued by Pound Puppies N Kittens Rescue on July 21, 2021.

"Matilda" was turned in stray to the animal shelter on July 14, 2021. She had the cutest and saddest eyes in her initial impound photograph, but was still just as pretty when outdoors for some glamour shots. No owner came to look for her and she was rescued by Save-a-Litter Pregnant Dog Rescue on July 20, 2021.  She was sponsored by donations made to the rescue by Anne, Sonia, Dana, Becky, Lorraine and Nancy.
