From September 2009 to September 2025, waltonpets.net served as the main adoption website for a government-run animal control shelter in Georgia. In those 16 years, over 14,000 dogs found new homes or were reunited with their owners (6699 rescued, 4073 adopted, 3482 reunited) and over 6,000 cats found new homes (4580 rescued, 1541 adopted, 214 reunited). Now that the animal control agency has contracted it's own website, waltonpets.net's mission has come to an end.
